Armigeres (Armigeres) sembeli sp. nov. is from Sulawesi, Indonesia. Male and female, pupa and fourth-instar larva are described in detail, and illustrations of the male genitalia, female abdomen, pupa, and larva are provided. This species, found in pitcher plant (Nepenthes maxima Nees), is compared to the pitcher plant mosquito species, Armigeres (Armigeres) giveni Edwards. The type of Ar. giveni Edwards, 1926 in the British Museum is examined and illustration of the male genitalia is also provided.
