A radio positioning and seeking method which uses a PHS was devised to achieve a low-cost and accurate positioning system for logistics. Since the PHS positioning error is several hundred meters, it cannot be used to find lost transport objects. In this method, a PHS terminal is identified and its position is searched by a directional antenna after its rough position is located using PHS positioning method. The receivable area of PHS terminal's signal is wider than the PHS positioning error range. As a result, the terminal's position can be measured and is retrieved without PHS positioning error range in the PHS communication area.
