Magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） can provide valuable information based on the various contrast mechanisms. To analyze information derived from MRI data, image processing techniques are applied as preprocessing. The aims of this article are to introduce widely used image processing techniques and to promote interests for further study and research in image processing for MRI.
