Abstract
The effect of Salix udensis bark on the fruit body yield of Lentinula edodes was investigated by test cultivation. In the test cultivation, birch sawdust was used for the sawdust-based substrate, and 10-40 wt% of the sawdust was replaced with the willow bark. As a result, substitution with 10 - 40 wt% willow bark did not inhibit fruit body development, and it was revealed that the 20 wt% substitution increased fruit body yield. Based on these results, willow bark can be used as a substrate additive in the sawdust-based cultivation of L. edodes.
