Abstract

The purpose of this study was to overview the transition of Sport for All policy in Japan and to organize the system of recent Sport for All policies. At present, Japan’s sports policy is at a turning point. By Japan Sports Agency was established in 2015, conventional sports promotion has been extended, health promotion through sports, they are promoting a variety of measures such as regional revitalization. Sports policy can be considered as a part of policy fields such as health, tourism and economy, for example, rather than being considered only as a field of education policy. In recent community sports policies, local governments and community sports clubs play a central role in measures targeting local residents. In addition, measures have been implemented by subdividing the target of sports indifferent groups, business people, women, etc., and cooperating with other fields in order to further expand the value of sports.
