Bryophytes of Mts. Hakone areas, Kanagawa, Japan

Abstract

230 species of mosses, 115 species of liverworts, and one species of hornwort were recorded on the basis of approximately 1800 specimens collected from the Hakone mountain area, western part of Kanagawa district. Taxa of phytogeographic interest include Andreaea rupestris var. fauriei, Campylopus flagilis, Coscinodon humilis, Glyphomitrium minutissimum, Entodon conchophyllus, Clastobryopsis robusta, Cehpaloziella divaricata, Schiffneria hyalina, Jungermania vulcanicola, Gymnomitrion noguchianum, and Calycularia crispula.
