In recent years, there has been an increasing need to enhance the fuel efficiency and power generation of internalcombustion engines. This drive comes from the efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, the global adoption of SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs), and the higher cost of crude oil. So far, there have been ideas for strong, lightweight carbonmaterials. However, in certain situations, because carbon is likely to react with oxygen, there has been a significant shift inattention towards similar chemical elements in the same family, like silicon compounds. Silicon compounds have remarkable qualities, such as excellent heat resistance, lightness, and high strength. This paper aims to explore the characteristics of silicon compounds and provide illustrative examples of how they are used.
