Print materials suppliers have begun to put in serious efforts to tackle reduction of CO2 emission and hazardous waste from plate making process. Aluminum base of printing plate accounts for most of CO2 emission from plate making process because of bauxite requires enormous electricity consumption to refine. It was difficult to recycle Aluminum base due to its high purity of over 99.7 percent. However, thorough prevention against impurity contamination in printing plate factory and collaborating with alloy supplier accomplished "closed loop recycle" system. Print materials suppliers are attempting reduction of waste developer as well. Design of development system, which has less influence of pH, realized major reduction of replenisher usage. Processless plate must be the ultimate application as the complete environmental friendly target.
