The methods of the textile printing without the printing plate have recently been discussed.
One of the methods by means of photosensitive solubilised vat dye has been tested.
The chromaticity diagram, spectral sensitivity curves and characteristic curves of these dyes have been obtained with the result that the four color dyes which are supposed to be similar to each color process ink (solubilised vat Yellow 7, Blue 2, Red 2, Black 4, ) have been selected for the textile printing.
The fog involved in this method is likely to degrade the quality of the textile on the one hand, but as a result of the test it has been found on the other hand that a few surfactants serve to dissolve this fog.
The spectral sensitivity curves of these dyes are so much overlapped one another that multiple exposures are required.
