According to the economics analysis, it is required to change the social and economy system so as to make producers to bear “externalities”, the costs of environmental issues. The meaning of sustainable development is examined by the three types of definitions. Lastly, environmental management of airlines and the relationship between air transport and sustainable tourism are studied. For sustanable development of tourism as well as air transport, we should make a contribution to the preservation of ecological balance by all means including restructuring of economy system and business activities.
