Abstract
Since the liberalized laws regarding travel abroad have taken effect in Japan, there has been a rise in the number of travelers. Recent years have seen a remarkable increase of individual travelers as they attempt to fulfill their various needs.
To cope with these travelers' requests, the “Assistance Service Business” has recently been established. This new business interacts with insurance, credit card and banking companies so that travelers can be supplied with the necessary information or service if they encounter problems while they are traveling.
With the growth of internet, it has become possible for this business to provide us with consultation, and in the age of IT (Information Technology), it drops an important hint to the travel industry to establish new projects.
This “Assistance Service Business” has been involved with what is called “One Way” i.e. it assists travelers from Japan only. In this report, however, I would like to propose to practice “Two Ways” which could be established through governmental aid to the civilian's business project.
If this proposal comes into practice, the balance of payments of international travel business would improve and contribute to the growth of all domestic tourism.
