プロピルフェノールからのアネトールの合成

抄録

p-Propylphenol was coverted to p-methoxyphenylpropane and then oxidized with lead tetraacetate in acetic acid to give anethole. The synthetic route may be general for a-acetoxylation of the side chain of alkylphenol derivatives. Intermediate α-acetoxylated compounds were also isolated and their 'H- and ¹³C-NMR spectra were presented together with those for final products.
