In order to make an examination for the activity of Fibrinolytic Enzyme (FL) on the skin diseases, several observations were made on the samples of blood plasma and focal skin from those suffering from the skin diseases employing the fibrin plate method, and at the same time, the therapeutic effects of anti-FL agents were also observed clinically. The total FL activity of the blood plasma of patients of skin diseases showed an increase in activity as compared that of healthy subjects for control, but the results were, as a whole, dispersed. Significant changes in anti-FL values were detected neither with patients nor with healthy subjects. After anti-FL agent, AMCHA, was administered, the FL activity was clearly inhibited. When the activity of FL in the focal skin tissue was observed, evident promotion of the activity thereof was detected in the focus of eczema, psoriasis and heat injury. The anti-FL agent was employed in 44 subjects mainly suffering from eczema and dermatitis, and a significant therapeutic effect was obtained. These results not only indicate that FL should have an important significance in a constitution and function of inflammatory skin diseases, but also provides an adequate basis for the illustration of the anti-FL therapy.
