Two hundred and twenty cases of various dermatoses were treated with oral administration of Pantosin (pantethine; the coenzyme-A precursor metabolites). The cases that showed any improvement were 72.3% as a whole and, when steroid ointment therapy was withdrawn, the ratio descended to 57.3 %. Comparatively good results were obtained on acute and chronic eczema group, contact dermatitis group and drug eruption group. Urticaria and erythema group showed relatively slight improvement on the whole but some very good improvement cases were exceptionally observed.
