45 patients with scabies were treated with 6 or 12 % benzyl benzoate in 80 % ethyl alcohol. Excellent results were obtained. Cutaneous manifestations seen after the treatment were slight irritation, cutaneous neurosis such as pruritus and reactive erythema, appearance in crops of a small number of vesicles or papules, or persistent nodules. For the control of these lesions no scabiecide was necessary.
