The case of a patient with psoriasis vulgaris who afterwards developed bullous pemphigoid is reported. The patient was a 66-year-old female, who had been treated for about ten years for psoriasis vulgaris skin eruptions. Recently, “Simfibrate”, an antilipemic drug, was administered for her hypertension and two months later, bullous lesions developed all over her body. A biopsy examination revealed subepidermal bulla formation and dermal infiltration of lymphocytes. Direct immunofluorescent staining showed linear C3 deposits at the basement membrane zone. The serum anti-basement membrane IgG antibody was also detected with the titer of 40 fold.
