Ninety cases of basal cell epithelioma treated at the Hospital of the University of Occupational and Environmental Health between 1979 and 1988 were analyzed, mainly histopathologically. Firstly, the distributions of sex, age and region were analyzed. Next, several histopathological features, such as histological types, tumor cell shapes, palisading arrangement, pigmentation and the existence of psammoma body, were studied in relation to the patient’s age and tumor localization.
