Recently, microsurgical techniques used microscope have developed in the reimplantation of amputated fingers and limbs. In the past two years, there have been 14 cases of the successful reimplantation of amputated fingers and forearm in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Kumamoto University and Kumamoto Saiseikai Hospital.
We have been many problems through reimplantation-techniques, for example, technique of suture of digital vessels, the postoperational control and early functional exercises after the reimplantation.
We report our successful reimplantional cases and describe these problems.
