100 paralytic feet are examined through plain X-ray films and podometer. Data are analysed with principle component analysis.
Three factors of deformation are extracted. They are plantal—dorsal flexion of a talus, calcaneus and total foot respectively. Varus—valgus deformity depends on the balance of the first and second factor of deformity.
Calculating the factor scores, we can express a deformed foot as a point of three dimensional Cathesian coordinate system in which each axis stands for factor of deformity.
