The prevalence of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) was studied in 270 patients on intermittent hemodialysis.
The results were as follows;
1) Twelve (4.4%) of 270 patients had clinical signs and symptoms of CTS.
2) No notable difference in the prevalence of CTS was found between male and female.
3) There was no correlation between the time on dialysis and the incidence of CTS.
