We have treated eleven cases of tibial condylar fractures between 1981 and 1987. Nine of them were fresh fractures and treated surgically. The others were treated conservatively, because they were old fractures passed about 6months after the injuries.
Judging from the study of these cases, we found the followings important. (1) It may be difficult to find out its fracture conditions or lines, so the fracture may be missed. (2) Meniscus should not be removed but sutured if possible. (3) As it is difficult to treat the suffering after the malunion of them, the fracture may be required proper cares and treatments as early as possible.
