We made minute observations on the lumber spinal canals of ten cases using myeloscope. Clinical diagnosis of them before the examination were two lumber disc herniations, one cauda equina syndrome, six lumber canal stenosis, and one multiply operated back. Clinical diagnosis on adhesive arachnoiditis is very difficult because of beggarly amount of specific symptom, neurological and radiological findings. Myeloscopy is a useful method of observing the dura mater, arachnoid, cauda equina, and its vessels.
