The schwannoma characteristically arises from only one location, seldom in multiple locations. We have recently experienced a case, 56-year-old woman with the complaint of lumbago, of multiple schwannoma with cystic degeneration in the retroperitoneal space.
The case is reported because of the rarity of the condition.
