A case with destroyed fifth cervical vertebra due to multiple myeloma is presented. The patient was admitted for the progression of incomplete quadriplegia in September, 1989. The tumor invading to the vertebra was excised and replaced by alumina ceramic prosthesis with bone cement. 2 weeks later, walking was allowed with brace. Paralysis in the preoperative was remarkably improved.
