A method was applied for conservative treatment of 48 toes in the 180 toes 130 cases that a part of the nail wall and all granulation tissue were excised to disclose edges of the nail plate. The method was used when a dressing was changed at out-patient clinic.
Wound healing was not only progressed but the indication of conservative treatment was expanded by using the procedure.
