We carried out the automatic analysis of the EMG interference patterns with turns amplitude analysis technique.
7 cases of peripheral nerve injury, 2 cases of dermatomyositis, and 5 cases of free muscle transfer were examined.
Both of 2 cases of dermatomyositis showed myogenic patterns. But the majority of the data from the subjects of peripheral nerve injury were plotted within normal range.
In order to evaluate the change of interference pattern at each stage, we collected the data from transferred muscle after 4, 6, and 10 months since operation. At first turns number increased, and then mean amplitude increased.
This technique was useful to evaluate the EMG interference patterns quantitively and objectively.
