Additional wide resections have been performed for the patients with malignant soft part tumors. The correlation between the prognosis of the patients and the following four items were evaluated: 1) the interval between simple excision and additional wide resection, 2) existance of recurrent tumor, 3) surgical margin of the additional wide resection, and 4) histological diagnosis. The histological diagnosis alone was well related to the prognosis of the patients. The incidence of the recurrence was high in the cases with MFH. In the cases with MFH, tumors recurred even after resection with wide margins.
