Caffey in 1947 described three cases of prenatal bowing and thickening of multiple long bones with overlying cutaneous dimples. The etiology of this syndrome is uncertain with several theories advocated.
The following constitutes a report of congenital bowing of long bones with club foot in two sisters. Bowing was present in the upper and lower extremities, and there were cutaneous dimples in the legs. Clinical and radiological bowing of the long bones imprved with age in the elder sister. The club foot in both sisters responded well to treatment. A possible etiology for this syndrome is described.
