73 patients with classical RA were studied according to their roentgenographic joint changes.
63 of the patients were women and 10 men ranging in age from 30 to 85 years, with an average of 57 years.
The duration of disease varied from 2 years to 38 years (average, 11 years and 7 months).
Effects on joits were influenced by all anatomical features. In regard to antinuclear antibodies, the homogeneous type was most frequently detected and two cases had detection of anti-centromere antibodies.
