We used ultrasound to examine 19 patients with muscle and tendon injuries of the lower extremity. Patients ranged in age from 14 to 50 years with a mean of 26.4 years. Injuries included rupture of Achilles tendon, M. C. L., M. triceps surae, M. rectus femoris, M. adductor longus, M. biceps femoris. We used a 7.5MHz convex type probe.
