We report a case of dorsal migrated lumbar disc herniation suspected of extradural tumor in MRI.
A 48-year-old male was referred to us for the treatment of low back pain and right leg pain in March, 1997.
On admission, the SLR test was negative and other neurological findings were normal.
MRI showed high intensity signals in T2-weighted images and an enhanced mass lesion with Gd-DTPA.
At surgery, dorsal migrated disk herniation was observed on the dura, and it was resected completely.
Histological examination revealed inflammatory cell infiltration of the hyaline cartilage and fibrous connective tissue.
