4 cases of humeral neck practures which we treated with the hook plate from 1995 to 1997 are reported. The patients were all female with a man age of 63.8 years. According to the Neer classification, 2 were two part, and the other 2 were three-part. All the fractures were evaluated by the JOA score of the Shoulder joint.
The score of all the cases totaled 73 to 89 points (mean 82.3). The hook plate was thus cinsidered more useful than other types of plates for the fracture of the humeral neck.
