抄録

1) The temperatures which were measured in the several parts of the intestines showed some difference, but with the variations in temperature, they changed almost in parallel with each other.
2) From the experiment of the administration (per os) of nutritious food, it was observed that the intestines have the function of heat-production, but its degree is very low.
3) From these results, it is concluded that the main cause of the changes of intestinal temperature lies in the changes of blood temperature, and also the blood quantity and blood distribution are the essential elements of the main cause of the changes, of intestinal temperature.
