Abstract

1) The insecticide made from stannous chloride and arsenic acid contains 42.56% As2O5, 52.02% SnO and 5.42% H2O. The chemical formula of this insecticide would be SnHAsO4; and this insecticide has 0.54% water-soluble arsenic (as As2O5).
2) The effect of this insecticide against the silkworm (J.115×C.112) is as powerful as lead arsenate. But that of calcium arsenate is weaker.
3) Both of this insecticide made from tinand lead arsenate give no harm to the leaves of the persimmon (Fuy_??_), the pear (Taihaku and Chojuro) and the Miike-takana, a kind of vegetables.
