Fermentative heat generation was observed when the strains Bacillus sp. AH-4 and AH-8 and B. stearothermophilus AH-15 were cultivated in rice bran. When the strain Bacillus sp. AH-4 was used, a temperature above 50°C was maintained for 31 days.
