抄録

The objective of this study is to clarify the existence conditions of large-scale paddy field farms in mountainous areas from the view point of farmland improvement. The conclusion is that the presence of a certain number of acres of improved farmland in their rural community defines the existence of large-scale paddy field farms in mountainous areas.
