Abstract
1) In the sciatic nerve of toads, the greater the diameter of nerve fibers, the more the number of incisures in 1000μ,. The correlation coefficient is+0.44 (significant level 0.1 % ). Its regression line y is 1.87x+17.1.
2) T he greater the diameter of a fiber, the longer the internodal length. The correlation coefficient is 0.75 (significant level 0.1 %). Its regression line y is 185x-165
.3) The greater the diameter of a nerve fiber, the more the number of incisures in a myelin segment. The correlation ratio is 0.975. The curved line E is 8.71×1.17x
4) There is no regularity in th e arrangement of incisures.
5) When fixing solution is added incisures are o p ened, but the number of incisures shows no increase or decrease. The opened incisures do not recover to their former form.
