Abstract
1. The ganglion cells in the muscle layer of the mouse's intestinal wall, especially the granules similar to the neurosecretory granules were observed by employing Gomori's staining and Heidenhain's iron hematoxylin staining method and partly Azan staining.
2. With the Gomori's staining, the fine granules and small ones were found in the cytoplasm. With the Azan staining, various sizes of vacuoles were met and the ganglion cells in the muscle layer of the intestinal canal are seemed to carry out some neurosecretion.
3. In the ganglion cells in the muscle layer the granules and vacuoles are increased at first and gradually decreased in their number. From this fact, it may be assumed, that the small dark cells gradually develop themselves to the large clear cells and carry out the neurosecretory function.
