The fish hybrids, Gnathopo g on elongatus elongatus _??_× Pseudorasbora parva _??_ and the reciprocal, show a type of the external form of the brain intermediate between that of both parents. This phenomenon seems to have a relationship to the degree of the development of the barbels and the sexual behavior which are intermediate between those of the parental species.
