This paper has focused on the balance between effective collaborations with Nonprofit Organizations and the pursuit of economic benefits within a corporation through philanthropic activities. In the pursuit of this balance, the concept of'strategic philanthropy' has become increasingly important. We examine this concept by analyzing a specific case and our conclusion is that strategic philanthropy alone is unsatisfactory. The further work that is needed has also been analyzed.
