Abstract
Main glycerin production area in the world has been shifted from oleochemical production in Asia to Biodiesel by-product in Europe. But it’s a first time to see decline of biodiesel production in Europe after they started production, and simultaneously glycerin production was down. But even such big decline glycerin market was not grown nor increased, because of Chinese economic slowdown, European financial crisis, East Japan big disaster. Traditional glycerin application is not grown and future key of glycerin market is a petrochemical substitutes. Epichlolohydorin, Ethylene Glycol, propylene glycol are main targets. Future glycerin market price will be linked with petroleum market price.
