Abstract
Biosurfactants, biologically produced surfactants, have been recently payed attention especially in microbially produced biosurfactants for the developments of functional chemicals (fine and speciality chemicals) to their proper chemical structures as well as ecomaterials. This paper dealt with our studies of their functional developments of spiculisporic acid, corynomycolic acid, sophorolipids, rhamnolipids, surfactin, glucose lipids, tetraglucose, and so on. It was concluded that biosurfactants contribute to the developments of a group of new biomaterials.
