Abstract
Using several types of tentative surgical navigation, we have unexpectedly found marked differences among them in the settlement of patient's head, scanning, camera, surface registration, and calibration.
The BrainLab's Vector Vision ® optical tracking navigation series are dramatically efficient because of their precise, speedy laser registration without headsets, markers, or face masks. The infrared camera catches the signals of the laser beam from the z-touch ® pointer and reflections of infrared rays with passive marker technology to ensure effective registration and calibration.
We discuss what type of optical tracking navigation in surgery is better and more promising at this time.
