The Mahalanobis-Taguchi (MT) system, a representative methodology of the Taguchi method, has
seen wide acceptance, mainly in the manufacturing industry of Japan. However, when applying the MT system
to the actual problem in accordance with the conventional analysis procedure, it is not always possible to conduct
an appropriate analysis. The MT system is applied to data from various fields where a demand for practical
applications exists. Therefore, in this research, we propose a novel analysis framework based on the statistical
modeling in order to deal with actual problems adequately and flexibly.
