自動運航船開発の現状と課題

Nowadays, as same as self-driving automobiles, R&D aiming at realizing commercial Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) is underway worldwide. In this presentation, after giving an overview of MASSs, I will show domestic and world R & D trends of MASS, and elemental technologies that are used for safe MASSs. Next, I will introduce the current status and issues of research and development and safety evaluation of MASS in Japan, as well as countermeasures and future initiatives.
