In recent years, STEM education has attracted worldwide attention. The same is true in Japan, where STEM education is being promoted at various levels. On the other hand, Japan ranks 116th out of 156 countries in the “2022 Gender Gap Index” released by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the lowest among developed countries.In this report, we introduce the career development process of a female project manager who has built her career at a major SIer, as well as practical examples of IT education at universities and raise issues regarding the interests and concerns of female students and the state of STEM education.
