People make decisions based on a variety of values, and there are conflicting values in individual decision making. While it is almost practically impossible to choose an alternative that fully optimizes these various values, it is relatively possible to choose Pareto-optimal alternatives. However, real humans use cognitively simplified heuristics, and there is some question as to whether they can choose Pareto-optimal alternatives. Based on previous studies (Takemura, 2024, Paper presented at the European Mathematical Psychology Group Meeting, Takemura et al. 2024, Abstracts of Papers Presented at the Behaviometric Society Meeting), we propose a multi-stage simple heuristics performed by humans, including are considered from the perspective of Pareto optimum, and the problem of decision execution under pluraristic values is discussed.
