This qualitative study employs the Lifeline Interview Method (LIM), a semi-structured interview technique, to investigate the psychological phenomenon of Self-Perceived Burden (SPB), wherein patients perceive themselves as burdens to their caregivers, impacting open communication and access to support. By systematically capturing patients' psychological transitions related to SPB, this study aims to derive in-depth insights into their emotional experiences. The data collected through LIM are analyzed to reveal recurring themes and patterns in patient perceptions, enhancing our understanding of SPB in healthcare contexts.
