Planning the project schedule is one of the critical processes that determine the success or failure of a project. In schedule planning, the essential information is the time estimate for the activities that make up the project. Traditionally, multi-point estimation methods that consider the distribution of time, such as three-point estimation, have been known as methods for estimating activity time. However, conventional methods assume that the shape of the distribution of estimated values is fixed, which may lead to incorrect evaluations. In this presentation, we propose an estimation method with a new parameter to consider the distribution shape of the estimated values. The effectiveness of the proposed method is examined by comparing it with a conventional method.
