Company A, a steel frame manufacturing factory, does not have any past production time data and is therefore unable to create accurate production plans. As a step towards improvement, they built a progress management system (previously announced) that monitors progress on a tablet and accumulates data. They built a production planning system based on the collected data and demonstrated that they can complete production in a shorter production period (shop time) than before.
